Our business focuses on peaking projects to provide vital reserve to the National Grid during times of stress through the UK’s Capacity Market. We strongly believe there is a long term requirement for gas fired flexible generation, due to:

• Coal and CCGT nearing the end of their useful lives 

• Large power station economics being undermined by fast growing renewable base lowering the economic load factors

• Few alternatives to deliver longer duration flexibility

• Distributed energy portfolios harder for large utilities to assemble and manage

• EV demand to grow exponentially over the next 5 to 10 years

• Wind and solar both now operate in a subsidy free world

• The need for flexibility will increase especially for longer duration supply with wind lulls given the UK’s high wind resource capability

• Nuclear and large CCGT's coming to the end of their operational life
